be cool sodapop (secret move of not melting in july)

This is how we do it.
1. Plant a giant maple tree seventy years ago right in front of your house (you know, the little one without air conditioning).
 2. Leave the windows open until about noon. Then sadly close their shades, starting with the sunniest.
   3. In the early afternoon, sadly close the windows themselves and turn on the ceiling fan.
     4. Open the windows again at dinnertime. Then turn on the window fan in the bedroom.
 Being cool in glasses: harder.

This is a great how-to. I like you in glasses! I am trying hard to remember you putting in contacts when we were in Europe. Did you? I think so? I am too tired all the time for contacts so I just go blind because I look uggs in my glasses. Thomas says pshhhhh to that, but it's the truth. BLIND ALL THE TIME I TELL YOU. I probably just shouldn't admit that because if I get in fatal car accident no one will believe it was the other persons fault. They'll just be like, well, she was BLIND ALL THE TIME.

How's that for a giant comment hmmmm?

i hate wearing glasses, too, steph. i thought if i got some cool ones i'd like it, but i didn't like wearing any of them for an extended period of time (did i mention i did the home-try on thing?). i did put in my contacts in euro. i'm too blind to just go blind anymore, but that's how i took driver's ed and got my license. sweet.

you look super cool in those glasses! when I first glance at this post I thought you were that awesome-styled woman from Mates of State, you looked so cool!

YEAH KORI LOOK-ALIKE! SO true! Maybe that one of the many reasons I have a crush on you. Ok, back to the glasses. I think you're on to something there! Maybe if I had cooler glasses I would feel super cool and stylish wearing them. Tell me more about this home-try business. I'm completely interested.

Ben just got some!! He ordered the 3 he wanted and then just 2 randoms for kicks and ended up buying one of the randoms. He's got the zaggs and strangely i liked em on me too. I like the last two of you, btw. Scratch that. i like them all.

Oh and I needed that advice for the heat! Oh fellow ac-less sufferer! It sounds like you are suffering a lot less than I am. We hit about 2 o'clock and head for the pool cause I can't take it anymore.

Can you see that?

Mo, you always look cool, glasses or no. I think the problem with the frames is that they're too big (the eye area). Sherri will definitely know what the dealio is, as she is a pro-fessional. Just my 2 cents, dear. xxoo

Oh man. Glasses. The bane of my existence. I've had to wear mine for more than half of this summer because my eyes have started deciding to have bad allergies and hate my contacts. And then I live all day feeling like I'm that awkward third-grader again.

Awful.

But Steph, I'm impressed you can drive without your contacts or glasses. I can't find my car without contacts or glasses. No joke.

But Mellie, I like you in the first and last photos. You know, if you were interested...

I like pair number three the best, I think. Or number one. Cool!
