so old fashioned for a new year's eve

 Calvin's so old fash. 

He puts on his coat.

Gets two of his friends.

 Gets in a car.

 Checks the time.

 Waves to his folks.

And drives off with his trunk and hat box 

to find some adventure

or at least some grilled cheese sandwiches.
